Golden Apple Tutoring hires experienced professional tutors. All of our tutors have previous tutoring experience and college degrees in the fields in which they are tutoring. Our tutors are also trained to use a variety of approaches and methods to tailor to each student’s educational need. In addition to tutoring in a specific field, our tutors also teach organization and study skills. Many of our tutors are either current teachers or have previously taught in the school system. Most of our tutors have completed graduate degrees or are currently pursuing them.
When hiring new tutors we look for individuals who are both qualified in the content and proficient in using creative approaches to teach the material. We recognize that being skilled in a subject matter does not necessarily make someone a good tutor. Therefore, we hire those who are able to effectively communicate their knowledge in multiple ways to best match their student’s learning style.
