Sarah Hildebrandt
Sarah recently received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics Education with an emphasis in Teaching Mathematics K-6 from the University of New Hampshire. She graduated Magna Cum Laude, finishing with an overall 3.7/4.0 GPA. Sarah is a certified mathematics teacher for grades 6-12. As an undergraduate, Sarah was also awarded the opportunity to take two graduate education courses for which she received an overall 4.0 GPA. Sarah excelled in these courses which covered extensive and creative curriculum planning, considering multiple learning styles and needs, for K-6 mathematics and exceptional learners. In addition to her studies, Sarah has worked as a student teacher, working one-on-one, in small groups, and with a whole class in an area 7th grade pre-algebra class. Most recently, Sarah has served as Site Coordinator of her local YMCA’s after school program. Here, she coordinated and implemented short educational activities, homework help sessions, physical activities, and team building games with 20+ children, K-5. She looks forward to working with incoming students and using their strengths and various learning styles to foster learning in areas of mathematics, organization, and study skills so that they may be challenged and succeed to their fullest ability.
Derrick Smith
Derrick received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Master of Teaching Secondary Education degrees from the University of South Carolina. He is certified as a 7th-12th grade math teacher. Derrick has three years of public high school teaching experience in Geometry and Statistics, and tutoring experience ranging from elementary reading skills to undergraduate Calculus, including SAT test preparation. Derrick teaches organization, study skills, and test taking techniques along with any tutoring course. His tutoring includes Math skills, conceptual understanding, and homework help. He has taught students of various backgrounds including ADD/ADHD, ED, LD, and visually impaired. Derrick has helped develop curriculum, instruction, and assessment tools for math courses. He is trained in technology including graphing calculators and the Geometer’s Sketchpad. Derrick is now available to tutor: Basic Math, Pre Algebra, Algebra I, II, and Geometry.
Meghan Smith
Meghan received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences/History and Secondary Education from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She is certified as a 7th-12th grade social studies teacher. Meghan has taught 12th grade government and 7th grade geography during her final semester in college. She has also taught a class of college freshman in their introductory class to college life. Meghan teaches organization, study skills, and test taking techniques along with any tutoring course. Her tutoring includes Social Studies skills, conceptual understanding, writing skills, and homework help. She has also worked with students in preparing for the English section of the SSAT and the ISEE. Meghan grew up overseas in South America and therefore can offer assistance in Spanish as well.
Drew Thompson
Drew received his Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics from the University of Georgia. He has six years of tutoring experience at the high school and college level. He has also been on the Faculty of Gordon College and Endicott college teaching Physics Laboratories and Mathematics. He teaches Math study skills, problem-solving, test-taking skills and Mathematical concepts, as well as helping students with homework. He has worked in public and private school venues and tutored students in both of these contexts. Drew is now available to tutor: Pre Algebra, Algebra I, II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus I, II.
Lisa Vitolo
Lisa received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts and her Masters in Special Education from Boston University. Her academic accomplishments included a triple major in the disciplines of Mathematics, Elementary Education and Special Education. During her years at Gordon College, she privately tutored students in the surrounding communities in Mathematics and Reading. She also participated in a variety of programs, including The Big Sister Program and was the Coordinator of a government funded student-led tutoring program. Upon graduating in 2005, Lisa volunteered as a 5th and 6th grade teacher of missionary children in the Amazon jungle of Brazil. Her teaching experience there covered all subject areas and a variety of ability groups. Presently, Lisa is in her third year of teaching special needs students at a local middle school.
Leah Easley
Leah received her Bachelors of Arts (Magna Cum Laude) in English Literature and a Certification in Secondary Education (6-12) from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. She has experience teaching English in the classroom as well as private tutoring in all subject areas. Leah has worked with international students, including tutoring an Afghanistan immigrant and lecturing in Zimbabwe. She has worked with both gifted students and students with special needs. Leah teaches a variety of literary genres, including non-fiction, fiction, dramas, and poetry. She also teaches English writing and language skills, such as vocabulary, spelling, grammar, syntax, and style. Her tutoring includes teaching organizational methods, effective study habits, and test-taking techniques.

Jordan Easley
Jordan received his Bachelors of Arts (Cum Laude) in Literature and Writing from Wheaton College. He has published multiple articles and poems in local newspapers and journals. He has experience teaching and tutoring international students. This includes one-on-one tutoring with immigrants from Afghanistan as well as lecturing/tutoring overseas in Zimbabwe. He has also tutored students from elementary to high school levels in a variety of subject areas through groups such as Kiwanis and National Honor Society. Jordan teaches organization, study skills, and test-taking techniques along with any tutoring course. He specializes in essay writing, creative writing, grammar, and writing style. Jordan is available to tutor: American and British literature, SAT/ACT test prep in reading and writing, and composition for all ages including college entrance exam essay writing.
