Golden Apple Tutoring is looking to hire an extraordinary staff of experienced tutors who will be carefully matched with our clients to meet their unique needs. We acknowledge the fact that every person learns differently. We also believe that every student can learn any subject matter when taught in such a way that they can understand. Therefore, we hire only competent tutors who are creative in their teaching techniques and able to assess each student's strengths and weaknesses. Our tutors need to be able to use role play (having the student teach the material back to the tutor), manipulatives, pictures, flash cards, study guides, note-taking, organization techniques, and real world applications as a part of instruction. They must be able to tailor an instructional program to meet each individual's specific learning needs and goals.
All tutoring jobs are part time positions. All applicants need to be able to work at least through the end of the school year. We pay our tutors on a continuum based on their tutoring experience and level of education.
Golden Apple Tutoring requires that its tutors have previous tutoring experience before joining our team. We also require that applicants have a college degree in a field related to the subject they are tutoring. For example, if you are applying for a math tutoring position your transcript must show a minimum number of math credits.
